Stabfish.io is a battle-arena game. In an ocean setting, the player uses a fish avatar to fight other players for supremacy.
On the main screen, the player creates a user name or allows the game to generate one when they select the Play button. As the title of the game states, they must use their fish to stab and kill other fish.
The player starts out with one of several basic fish options and a tusk for a weapon. As they improve their stats, they can unlock and upgrade the fish and its weapons, mask and hat using yellow buttons on the home screen. That said, they must have an account to unlock and equip some options, such as the ability to pull skins from other game universes.
In the Stabfish.io arena, the player directs their fish to swim around and collect green pellets, fish steaks and other food items. They also make it attack smaller, less powerful fish from behind or a side to create more food to eat, lengthen the fish's tusk, and unlock new weapons.
The game has several categories of weapons. The first basic set of four contains different types of tusks. Other weapons include tridents, chill blades and chainsaws. The player can also direct their fish to swim away from another fish or attack with a boost button.
If the player fails, they revive their avatar by watching an ad or start over. They can check player rankings in the upper-right area of the arena or in a box on the main screen.
How to play:
Access or register an account, or play as a guest with a custom or auto-generated name. Direct the fish avatar to swim around, collect food and attack enemies. Perform fish, accessory and weapon upgrades.
Controls:
Mouse: Click buttons. To direct the fish's movements through the water, slide the mouse. To give it a boost of speed, press the left button.
Mobile: Tap buttons. To direct the fish, slide the finger or stylus tip across the trackpad or screen. To give it a boost, press the surface.
