Wings.io is a multiplayer battle-arena game with an aerial dogfight theme. The player attempts to fly their plane for as long as possible across the sky without any other players destroying it. They also attempt to destroy enemy planes and acquire weapons.
The player starts by deciding whether to play with other online players or copy a room link to play with friends. They can input a username or play without one. With the sky blue button marked with a white plane icon, they then select a plane color and decal. When they're ready to play, they use the orange Play button.
From this point on, the player maneuvers their plane in different directions, including downward toward an ocean below the fight and through weapons and plane enhancements attached to parachutes and floating through the sky. They might use lasers, bullets and bombs or collect rocket speed. If they perform well, they rank on the leaderboard. If someone destroys their plane or they accidentally fly it too far beyond the fight, they fail and the plane explodes. That said, they can try again as many times as they like without penalty.
Wings.io also allows the player to watch the current dogfight from the perspective of the most top-ranked player. They access the screen via a red button marked with a white eye on the home screen.
How to play:
Use the eye button to learn the best ways to play. When ready to join the fight, input a username, customize the plane, and then select Play. Collect plane enhancements and weapons, and destroy enemy planes for as long as possible.
Controls:
Keyboard: To shoot, press the Spacebar. To enter full-screen mode, press the F key. To return to the home screen at any time, use the Esc key.
Mouse: Click buttons. To direct the plane through the air, slide the mouse. To shoot without a keyboard, click the left button.
Mobile: Tap buttons. To direct the plane, slide the finger or stylus. To shoot, tap the trackpad or screen.
