Digdig.io, stylized digdig.io, is a battle-arena game similar to snake games but with anthropomorphic rotating diggers churning through soil and other materials deep underground. The player's goal is to collect resources, grow their digger as much as possible, destroy other diggers and earn points and achievement rewards.
The game features five unique modes (FFA, TDM, TAG, Battle Royale and Maze). With FFA (Free For All), the player attempts to become the biggest digger possible. With TDM (Team Deathmatch), they play with a squad against other squads and eliminate bigger diggers. They can even see the current available squads and select one from the home screen. With TAG, seeker diggers attempt to find hider diggers in a game of tag. With Battle Royale, the player must position their digger to become the last one left alive. Lastly, with Maze, they must try to help their digger survive inside a maze.
Digdig.io requires the player to start by collecting water. Unlike similar snake games, their digger has a health meter. As a result, it won't die immediately, even if it's attacked by another digger.
The player collects materials, such as white and green materials, that increase their digger's health meter, size or armor thickness and strength. They must keep it away from dangerous materials that reduce its meter, such as red lava. That said, they can unlock an achievement by directing it through lava for a while, at least once.
How to play:
Enter a username or select the Play button without using one. Direct the digger to dig through the soil, locate water and other useful materials, grow, and destroy smaller diggers. Unlock achievement coin rewards. Use the Shop button on the home screen to upgrade the digger's emoji-style face and spiked spinner.
Controls:
Mouse: Click buttons. To direct the digger's movements, slide the mouse in a direction. To accelerate, press the left button. To stop the digger, press the right button.
Mobile: Tap buttons. To direct the digger, slide the finger or stylus. To accelerate, press the touch pad or screen. To stop, press the touch pad's right corner or button.
