Mahjong Remix is a connect-style version of the popular, classic tile-matching game. It offers a player peaceful imagery and music combined with entertaining, challenging gameplay. The game features a lotus blossom and pond backdrop and traditional Chinese Mahjong tiles (bamboo, bonus sets and dots) in a single-layer pattern.
The player must remove pairs of tiles to clear the playfield and earn the highest points possible. They must follow specific connect rules. They must only pair matching tiles that they can connect via one to three invisible lines drawn between the tiles. The matching tiles also can't have any non-matching tiles between them. That said, the player can connect side-by-side tiles, which counts as a one-line move.
Mahjong Remix requires the player to remove all tiles from the playfield across five rounds before a seven-minute timer runs out of time. It allows them to skip a level at any time, but they earn fewer points. The timer starts the moment they touch the screen. The game regularly updates them about the number of matches available. If they complete matches in pairs quickly, they receive fast-pairing bonsues known as chain bonuses. When they complete a round, they also receive an additional 1,000-point bonus. When they finish all the rounds, they receive a time bonus as well.
How to play:
Search the playfield pattern for matching, side-by-side Mahjong tiles. Remove these pairs of tiles first to see how the connect system generates line segments. Search for additional pairs of tiles that might connect with one to three lines. Work quickly to earn chain and time points.
Mouse: To connect and remove two matching tiles from the playfield, click the first tile and then the second one.
Mobile: To remove two matching tiles, tap the first tile and then the second one.
