Hex Aquatic Kraken is a match-3 game with an undersea adventure theme. A player must complete tasks on a hexagon-shaped board that features hexagon tiles that display various marine animals. They must match three or more of the same animals to remove the tiles from the board.

In many similar games, the player must clear the entire board. In this one, the mission is more important than the board. The player might need to reach a certain number of points or defeat an enemy (the kraken) by depleting its health when they complete matches within a certain amount of time. Once they succeed with the mission, the rest of the tiles disappear from the board. They also receive points and up to three achievement stars.

Hex Aquatic Kraken shows the player the best moves to make to remove the tiles. If they remove five connected, matching tiles, for example, they perform a "whack-a-line" maneuver that also takes out a row of non-matching tiles. If they remove six connected, matching tiles anywhere on the board, they perform a "border explode" maneuver that takes out both the matching and nearby non-matching tiles. If they match nine tiles, they clear the entire board.

How to play:

Look for three or more matching tiles on the board. Perform different types of matches to complete the unique mission for each level. To beat the kraken, match as quickly as possible.

Controls:

Mouse: To match three or more connected, hexagon tiles, position the cursor above one, press the left button, and then slide the mouse so the cursor traces the rest of the matching tiles.
Mobile: To match three or more connected, hexagon tiles, position the cursor above one, press the touch pad or screen surface, and then slide the finger or stylus so the cursor traces the rest of the matching tiles.
