Asphalt Retro
Asphalt Retro is a racing game that features classic arcade graphics and play. A player races their vehicle along busy highways and byways around the world in Instant Play or Arcade modes. In Arcade, they might race along Route 66 or through Tokyo, New York, Paris, London, Siracusa, Luxor or Vladivostok. They learn just enough to help them win a race or stay ahead of police cars while driving at high speeds, such as the length of the race course, number of lanes, number of laps and level of traffic congestion.
During a race, the player sees the amount of money for the purse, but they can lose part of it if they're scratched or pulled over by the police. Although they can hit any object with their vehicle, including cones, barriers, other vehicles and even telephone poles without restarting the race from the beginning, they can lose their lead or position in a race. The game shows them their position at the top left corner of the screen and tells them the positions of other cards with details above the vehicles.
How to play:
Navigate the vehicle around traffic and obstacles on the road. Maintain high speeds for as long as possible. Pass other vehicles to get in the lead. Check regularly for an onscreen arrow to learn the location and direction of an upcoming curve. Watch out for the cops!
