Tiles are randomly laid out on a grid. Your aim in the game is clear the screen. The main objective here in the game is to use your puzzle solving skills to make the necessary moves as explained in the in game instructions to remove the tiles. Tiles of the Unexpected is a fun, tile-matching game that features surprising twists on a huge, horizontal field filled with tiny, randomly placed tiles stacked in two layers. A player must find and clear away two or more adjacent groupings of tiles until they empty the screen. Unlike many similar games, they can match tiles on the same layer or across the stacked layers in any direction. Additionally, clearing the grid reveals a beautiful work of art in the background.

During gameplay, the cleared tiles disappear to reveal tiles on the lower level or a gap and a piece of the hidden artwork. With a gap, the game refills the spot soon after by dropping tiles into it from one or more vertical rows above or by sliding left all vertical rows located to the right of the gap. It also removes new matches that form and awards points and bombs automatically. If the player can't see a match, Tiles of the Unexpected highlights at least two matching tiles with a reflective shine.

The player earns points for every move they make and bombs that can help them clear the grid faster and when they run out of matches. To win the game, they must complete all levels with the highest possible score. Bombs appear in a vertical row along the side of the bottom left corner. Their score appears to the right of the row. The game tracks their best score and their highest completed level above the field. If they fail at any time to complete a higher level, they're bumped back to Level 1.

How to Play:

Locate and remove matching tiles on the grid. Look for strategic ways to use bombs, such as blasting an unneeded tile so that a needed one above it can drop down into the gap next to a matching tile.

Controls:

Mouse: To clear two or more tiles, click any tile in a connected grouping.
Mobile: To clear away tiles in a group, tap any tile in it.
