Microsoft Jewel 2 is a new twist on classic match-3 Microsoft Jewel gameplay. Although a player continues to match stunning gemstones on a board suspended in the sky, they also gain access to bonus achievement awards, new challenges and a massive points-multiplier feature.
The player must connect three or more matching jewels to make horizontal and vertical lines. To reach the next level, the player must meet task requirements and earn points until a loading bar above the board fills with a blue band that sparkles with white light.
Microsoft Jewel 2 supplies large booster jewels whenever the player connects more than three of the same jewels at a time, including rocket-style and bomb-style boosters. There's also a diamond that acts like a rainbow-style booster that removes all the jewels that match any jewel the player swaps with it on the board.
One of the new features is a Bonus Jewels area. After the player collects a certain number of regular jewels, they receive a large booster Bonus Jewel. If they run out of moves and need a replacement jewel to perform a match-3 move or want to take out a large area of matching and non-matching jewels, they can place a Bonus Jewel on the board.
