Wordle is a game of chance where the player has six chances to correctly identify a five-letter word. After each guess, the player is informed of which letters they chose and whether or not those letters appear in the targeted word.
The game has been translated into different languages due to its widespread popularity, including French, Marathi, Arabic, Czech, Tamil, Urdu, Chinese, German and many more.
Wordle was developed by Welshman and ex-Reddit employee Josh Wardle. A prototype was developed by the software developer in 2013 and tested with friends.
The rules of Wordle, an online word game, are incredibly fundamental.
The player must correctly identify the Wordle in no more than six tries.
Every word entered should be included in the word list.
The color would change to green if the letter were correct.
The letter would become yellow if it were correct but placed incorrectly.
A wrong letter becomes gray.
Letters can be reused multiple times.
