Word Swipe is a word search game that features elements from 10x10, brick-breaking and match-3 puzzle games. The game displays a 10x10 board filled with jumbled letters on white tiles. A player's objective is to remove tiles from the board to create a specific number of blank rows and columns before a two-minute timer drops to zero. They must also attempt to earn the most points possible.
The player forms words by creating vertical, horizontal, diagonal and mixed lines using three or more letters at a time. When they remove tiles, the game slides upper tiles down. If an entire column gap exists between columns, it shifts all tiles left. Every word they find has a certain number of points assigned to it. Longer words make it possible for the player to earn more points. If the player completes a task with time still remaining on the timer, they can charge boosters for the next round by finding more words.
Word Swipe initially provides the player with two bombs to clear a square of tiles and a shuffle booster that rearranges the remaining tiles to make finding words easier. The player also receives two bombs if they watch an advertisement.
How to play:
Find words on the board. Select the word starting with the first letter. Repeat this process to clear more words from the board. Complete the task. Find words to charge boosters. Watch an ad to earn boosters. Play additional levels.
Controls:
Mouse: To select a word using the letter tiles, position the cursor above the first letter, press the left button, and slide the cursor over the rest of the letters in order. Another option: Click each tile in the order that spells the word.
Mobile: To select a word using the tiles, position the cursor, press the trackpad or touchscreen, and slide the cursor over the rest of the letters in order. Another option: Tap each tile.
