Scrap Metal 5: Demolition Derby reminds players that the Scrap Metal driving and stunt game series was designed with the destruction of vehicles in mind. The game continues to offer the player preexisting and custom opportunities to turn vehicles into scrap metal in a high mountain valley that features clay flats, uneven hills and sheer cliffs. 

Most of the six available vehicles spread out across the valley are commonly found at demolition derby events and have steering or speed problems. That said, at least one vehicle offers easy-touch steering, extremely fast (0 to 60) acceleration and high speeds. The player receives options to adjust common system settings with buttons near the bottom-left corner.

When the player starts, the clay flats area already contains a wide, semi-circular, glass-like structure and several burned-out and destroyed vehicles. They can use their inventory to install loops, inclines and other ramps, giant toy objects, supportive spectators and a double-ramp tower.

Scrap Metal 5 does more than offers opportunities to complete standard stunts and perform related destruction. The player can use the tower to make a car fly upwards almost vertically and hang for a few seconds suspended in the air. They can use the camera to view this spectacular experience from different angles. If they explore the outermost mountain borders, they also receive a special demolition surprise!

How to play:

Select any vehicle. If desired, uncheck the damage option or select any of the custom system buttons. Learn how each vehicle handles by exploring the clay flats, valley, hills and mountains. Set up stunt areas. Perform amazing feats and destroy every car. 

Controls:

Keyboard: To drive, use the directional (Arrows or WASD) keys. To reverse, use Down Arrow or S. To perform a hard stop, use Spacebar. To access the inventory, use I. To change the camera perspective, use the number keys. To return to the home screen, use Esc.
Mouse: Click buttons. To set up stunt equipment and add people to an area, click and drag each one to a position.
Mobile: Tap buttons. To set up stunt areas, tap and drag objects.
