Original Classic Solitaire is a virtual version of Klondike Solitaire presented with a standard 52-card deck on a classic green tabletop designed to simulate textured fabric or felt. The game automatically sets up the table with seven columns of face-up and face-down, layered cards in the classic arrangement below a foundation area and a one-card, draw-pile deck. It also automatically sets up right-hand play.
That said, the game offers options to customize the theme, including the tabletop color and texture, card-face design and card-back style. The player can select a non-fabric green tabletop, a seaside background and card faces and backs in different art styles. They can also change the settings to offer three-card draw and left-hand play.
The player wins Original Classic Solitaire by reordering the columns to move cards to the foundation areas where they build piles based on sequential standard order starting with the Ace (A) and ending with the King (K) in suits. The game tracks the amount of time and number of moves it takes for the player to win.
How to play:
Customize the cards and settings. Reposition cards on the columns to reorder them into builds of non-suit, alternating color, sequential, reverse order (K, Q, J, 10...) columns or pull cards from the draw-pile deck. Build piles in the foundation area. Whenever necessary, use the Undo or Hint tools.
Controls:
Mouse: To move a card around on the table automatically or turn over a draw-pile card, click the card. To move a card to a specific position, position the cursor above the card, press the left button, slide the mouse, and then release the button.
Mobile: To move a card around on the table automatically or turn over a draw-pile card, tap the card. To move a card to a specific position, position the cursor above the card, press the screen or trackpad, slide the finger or stylus pen, and stop pressing the surface.
