Embark yourself in a nostalgic adventure. Gum Adventure DX is a retro-inspired platformer that takes you to a series of challenging levels with a varying range of difficulty. The goal is to help the female blob or gum-like creature to reach her partner. This, however, is not an easy task because she needs to surpass an overwhelming number of obstacles and enemies.
The level is cleared when she managed to reach her partner. All red-colored enemies, traps, and obstacles in this game must be avoided at all costs. Otherwise, the character will get killed and you have to start the level back from the very beginning. What really makes Gum Adventure DX amazing is the pixel-art style graphics, a wonderful homage to classic NES games. This provides an amazing and nostalgic gaming experience. How to play:
Gum Adventure DX is a very unique platformer game. Unlike the classic side-scrolling platformer, the game prompts you to a fixed stage filled with various platforms. Interestingly, your character has the ability to stick itself either on the ground or the ceiling. Using the Arrow keys or the WASD keys, you can move around the stage and stick from one platform to another. However, each stage comes with multiple traps, moving enemies, and deadly obstacles that you must avoid at any cost. The key to surviving the game is to take your actions by carefully visualizing the stage and by timely moving your character from one platform to another. Enemies and obstacles have their own behavior and you must take everything with proper precision to avoid contact, otherwise, you’ll get killed easily. The game also comes with a Speedrun mode where you will revisit all levels and will race against time. The faster you complete all levels, the higher the score you’ll get.
