Bloons TD 3, or Bloons Tower Defense 3, continues the struggle of stopping enemy balloons, or bloons, from the previous two installments of the semi-idle tower-defense series. The enemy sends waves of bloons along winding tracks. The player must burst the balloons using various weapons, including catapults, fighter monkeys, turret towers and portable solutions (i.e., bombs, glue and spikes). They win by using their bank to install strategically different weapons in the best spots along a track for mounting a defense.
The game features three modes (Easy, Med and Hard) that differ primarily in terms of defense costs, the number of available lives, and the enemy's capabilities and speed. With each new round, the enemy also changes their strategies to include a higher number of faster-moving bloons to overwhelm the player's defenses and secret tricks. The player best defends by always approaching attack scenarios with the attitude that anything might happen. They also upgrade their non-portable weapons and reset their portable ones between each round.
Bloons TD 3 offers four initial, unlocked tracks. The player must win rounds to unlock the other four. The game gives them some classic Bloons TD weapons, including Dart Monkey, Tack Shooter, Cannon, Ice Ball, Boomerang and Super Monkey, Road Spikes and Monkey Glue. It also introduces some new ones, such as the Spike-o-pult catapult that hurls spike balls, the Monkey Beacon that increases the attack range of anything within range, and Pineapple bombs that go off quickly. The player can also unlock a mysterious Top Secret weapon.

How to play:
Select a track and difficulty mode. Install the most initial weapons near the track's exit and entry points. Place non-portable weapons inside curved areas to allow defense in multiple directions. Place portable weapons in between on the track. Run the round scenario. Use earned money to perform additional installations and upgrades.
Controls:
Mouse: Click buttons. To place a weapon, position the cursor above its icon, press the left button, and slide the mouse.
Mobile: Tap options. To place a weapon, tap and slide the finger or stylus.
