Bloons TD 2, also known as Bloons Tower Defense 2, is the second installment of the popular Bloons series of semi-idle tower-defense games. The player's goal is to prevent enemy balloons ("bloons") from escaping a maze-like path across easy, medium and hard modes. They create defensive strategies that involve the use of monkey fighters, turret towers and portable road weapons. If they position their defenses strategically and pop all the bloons, they win the round and enough money to improve their defenses against each new wave.
In the Easy mode, the player receives a beginning bank balance, 100 lives and the assurance that all weapons cost less than in the other modes. The Med (medium) and Hard modes offer fewer lives and present higher costs. The number and speed of the bloons also increase with each round. Additionally, new balloons have tricks that make defense harder.
Bloons TD 2 offer many similar towers to TD1. The player receives a dart tower (Dart Monkey), a tack tower (Tack Shooter), an ice tower (Ice Ball), and the Super Monkey. Instead of a bomb tower, they receive a cannon one. They also receive road spikes, monkey glue and a boomerang weapon. They buy, install and upgrade these options before each round.
Although the towers remain in place from round to round, it's important to note that some weapons disappear during and after a round. If the bloons overwhelm the spikes, the spikes disappear during a round. After a round, the player must always buy and reset the road spikes and monkey glue.

How to play:
Select a mode. Place towers near the entry and exit points of the maze path and near curves. The latter allows the tower to shoot in all directions. Stagger portable weapon placement on the path. Wait for the game to auto-run the scenario and end the round. Install more towers and perform upgrades.
Controls:
Mouse: Click buttons and icons. To place a tower, click and slide the mouse.
Mobile: Tap options. To place a tower, tap and slide the finger or stylus.
