What will happen if you merge the classic Sokoban Puzzle to a classic dungeon crawler? The result is definitely nostalgically epic! Developed by Digital Oddities, Cratemage is a puzzle game that will take you to a series of mind-twisting levels. It is indeed a mixture of the classic Sokoban Puzzle and a dungeon crawler. The core objective is to help the mage locate the hidden treasure inside the dungeon. To do so, you must skillfully and strategically move the crates to access the stairs that will take you another level lower in the creepy dungeon. With its pixel art style, Cratemage manage to capture the nostalgic gameplay along with the eerie and enigmatic atmosphere of a classic dungeon crawler games. The Sokoban elements, on the other hand, is what makes the game tricky and sometimes, frustratingly challenging. Luckily, the mage has the ability to use his orbs to link crates together and move them synchronously. The player is strongly encouraged to visualize the puzzle carefully and try to establish the most effective strategy to escape the level, otherwise, you might find yourself stuck and gives you no other option but to start the level back from the beginning. How to play:

Cratemage comes with a very simple set of rules but despite the apparent simplicity, the game is surprisingly challenging and addictive at the same time. As soon as the game starts, it prompts you right away to the uppermost level of the dungeon. The mission is to find the stairs and make a passable path towards it. To do so, you must move the crates without blocking your way out. Similar to a classic Sokoban, you can push the crates manually in any direction available. What makes it unique is the mage’s ability to use two magic orbs. These orbs can be linked to two different crates, allowing them to be moved synchronously. The rate of difficulty will drastically increase as you progress, adding more complexity to each puzzle. Players must be smart enough to identify which boxes to link and when to unlink them.

WASD or Arrow Keys - To Move Left Mouse Button - Link Boxes Right Mouse Button - Unlink Boxes R - Restart Puzzle
