Hexoboy is a physics-based platformer by ALMA Games that will take you to a series of challenging and fun-filled levels. The main objective of the game is to take control of Hexoboy, a moving hexagonal plane figure, to clear all levels by successfully reaching the flag that takes you to the next level. Unlike your typical platformer, the game is not just about jumping from one platform to another. In this game, you will encounter a great number of tricky mechanisms and deadly traps that you must avoid at all costs. As soon as the game starts, you will be prompted to a 2D side-scrolling map. You can move around, interact, and collect items that you will encounter along the way. A player can earn a maximum of three stars per level. To do so, you must complete all the objectives. You get one star for reaching the exit flag, another star for collecting all the stars that are randomly distributed in every level, and another star for collecting the crown. How to play:

The mechanics of the game are simple and easily manageable. As soon as your journey begins, you can move around the 2D map using the left and right arrow keys or the A and D keys. You can jump using the Spacebar and climb up and down the ladders using the up and down keys or the W and S keys respectively. Scattered across the 2D map are stars that you are encouraged to collect. While players can clear the level even without completing the other objectives, you might still want to collect them to earn a higher rating. Aside from the stars, you can also collect a Crown to earn a perfect score. Be mindful that the rate of difficulty will drastically increase as you progress. Some levels will feature moving mechanisms and platforms that are activated by pressing levers. You will also encounter traps that you must skillfully evade to survive, otherwise, the game comes to a quick end and you have to start at the same level back from the start. The players can revisit previous levels to beat their personal records, giving Hexoboy a decent replay value and longevity.
