Home Makeover, a match-3 puzzle game, asks a player to renovate an old, worn out, damaged house one area at a time.
The player receives three upgrade options per turn, such as three floor colors or three door designs. They must use a tool shaped like a pink star to perform each renovation. The game initially provides free turns, but then they must play mini match-3 games to earn more pink stars.
As with other types of match-3 games, Home Makeover's mini games require that the player collect a certain number of tiles that feature the same symbols before they run out of moves. They must connect three or more matching tiles in a line to remove them from a board that displays mixed up tiles in rows and columns. This game also allows them to remove matching tiles connected in a square across rows and columns.
Home Makeover offers special boosters to help the player remove the tiles a lot faster. They can destroy rows with rockets, tiles by type with spaceships and all tiles surrounding a bomb. They can purchase more of these boosters with coins they win during gameplay.
How to play:
Use pink stars to perform renovations. In the match-3 mini games, check the board for three or more matching tiles with the correct symbol that could become a line with the movement of only one tile. Swap that tile with the closest one that doesn't match. Use boosters, as needed.
Mouse: To use a pink star, click and drag it toward the circle in a damaged area of the house space. To choose one of the three upgrade options, click it. To perform matches in the mini games, click and drag one tile toward another.
Mobile: To use a pink star, tap and drag it toward a renovation spot. To choose one of the upgrades, tap it. To perform tile matches, tap and slide one tile toward another.
