Algerian Solitaire
This game features a lot of nice atmospheric touches. It opens with a Tuareg proverb and lays out the cards an ancient cloth as the murmurs of speech and the sound of a crackling fire run in the background. Sounds can always be muted if they get too distracting.
The Algerian theme isn't just decorative, though. Game play is different from regular solitaire. Two decks of cards are used, and the object is to form eight card stacks with four of them counting up from aces and four counting down from kings. Unlike regular solitaire, players draw from the top cards of six separate stacks. Cards can be stacked in ascending or descending order, but one suit can be used in a stack. It's tough, but the instructions are just a click away. Anyone who's used to regular solitaire will want to try this challenging variation.
