Cookie Clicker
Cookie Clicker is a semi-idle game. The player must bake cookies through incremental play. Their other goals are to buy upgrades using cookie points earned during the process and bake more cookies for as long as possible.
The player starts by selecting the large, central chocolate chip cookie repeatedly to earn points. Once they've earned enough, they use the first upgrade option on the left side of the screen to set up a white glove cursor next to the cookie to auto-click every 10 seconds. After they earn 100 points, they use the second option to bring an in-game grandmother on as a worker. They can eventually upgrade the glove to make each cursor click more efficient. After so many upgrades, they level up previously upgraded areas. For example, they might purchase more cursor gloves.
Over time, the game requires the player to earn more points to perform each upgrade. That said, once the player reaches a specific number of upgrades, it produces baked cookies and related points in a completely idle fashion, even if the player leaves the website.
Cookie Clicker announces special achievements as rectangular announcements below the central cookie. The player can also enjoy reading funny and wise sayings in the upper-left area of the screen. If they want to customize the game or review stats, they can also access these options by selecting wood signs in the same area.
The rest of the left side of the screen displays graphical representations. For example, the game displays the grandmas and cookie production in a factor.
How to play:
Select the cookie repeatedly to start earning points. Perform upgrades. Level up the upgraded areas. When efficiency options become available as buttons in the upper-right area, use points to turn on each one. Watch the cookies rain down the screen.
Controls:
Mouse: Click buttons. To earn baked cookie points, position the main cursor atop the central cookie, and then click the left button repeatedly.
Mobile: Tap buttons. To earn points, position the main cursor, and tap the screen or trackpad surface repeatedly.
