Paper.IO 2 is a competitive, online game that is both fun and easy to play. To begin playing the game, the player simply chooses a screen name then joins the game. The player can also choose from several cute and fun skins, such as a cake or a bulldozer, for their color block before they enter the game. The player can then move the mouse around the screen to control their color block. The color block draws a continuous line and fills in space any time that line connects with its own color space. The player can also color over other players' space. The goal of the game is to color as much of the play area as possible while avoiding other players. A player can knock out another player by breaking their line, trapping them in their color, or running into them directly. Players also strive to beat their own personal record of the percentage of the area they can cover in a single session. This game also features a leaderboard of the players who have colored in most of the play area. If the player can reach the top of the leaderboard, a crown appears above their head to signal to other players that they are the one on top. The signifier can also mark the player as a target for others to take over their color space.
