Your objective is simple but not easy. Try to land the backflip, and try to do so as close to the center of the landing square as possible. You will receive more points if you land directly in the center. You will still get points for landing in a manner that is not perfect, but you will not receive as many points. Advance through the levels and unlock other courses as you do so successfully. You also only want to tuck once during your flip. This is explicitly stated as being the goal on some jumps, but is always ideal for your flips.
